I’m embarking on a 10-hour flight later this afternoon to Greece! Between the recycled air, jet lag, radiation, and let’s face it, time to kill, I thought I’d pack some products to save my skin from drying out. I did a little research on on how to lock in moisture during long flights and show up to your destination looking refreshed and awake. Here’s a step by step approach I personally love when traveling, so you’ll look alive when you step off that plane (no matter how jet lagged you are)…

1. Remove *ALL* Makeup | Exfoliating Face Wipes

I barely fly with makeup on anymore, unless I have a meeting straight after my flight. If you have to wear makeup to the airport, be sure to wipe all of it off with a good removing wipe. I love these because they have little exfoliating beads on them that get rid of any makeup or dirt on your face.

2. Mist | Evian Spray

Give your face an extra boost of hydration and refreshment with Evian’s travel size mineral water spray. It feels great to spray this on during your flight and just before you land to wake you up too! Nothing feels better than cool mist when you’re confined in a warm plane for hours on end. Trust me on this one! This will prep your skin for the next step to absorb in fully…

3. Sleeping Mask | Sephora Sleep Mask

Beauty sleep to me is getting your zzz’s with a fabulous mask and glowing skin to wake up to! I’m obsessed with sleeping masks and sheet masks as of late. These go on translucent so you don’t have crazy green goop on your face on a plane! Perfect to smooth on and snooze.

4. Mist (again)

5. Moisturize | Kate Somerville Nourish Daily Moisturizer

After the mask treatment, it’s time to lock in all of those vitamins with a good moisturizer.

6. Pucker Up | Creme de Rose Lip Balm

Don’t forget your lips! This balm is ultra-moisturizing and lip plumping. Prevents dry/cracked lips.

7. Brighten | Clarins Beauty Flash Balm

An hour before landing, apply this balm to reduce any redness and keep your skin luminous under makeup. This versatile product can also be used as a 10 minute mask for tired skin (less to pack!).

8. Five Minute Makeup | Concealer, Blush, Mascara, Lipgloss

Ready to land this plane? Apply my favourite concealer to brighten up under my eye and cover any blemishes. This literally covers anything, and it’s very creamy so it melts right into your skin! I use a Beauty Blender for a flawless application. Then, I add a little blush to my cheeks to give me some colour, a swipe of mascara to my lashes and lipgloss. Ready to hop off the plane & explore!
