SOMETHING VINTAGE

Good morning babes! Yesterday was one of those whirlwind days where I felt completely overwhelmed by all of the tasks that need to get done. September is going to be a fun, but super busy month and I just need to stay as organized as possible. Do you guys ever get that way? After writing down everything you have to do, or when a lot is going on, you just stare at your to-do list cross eyed, lol!? Anyways, we were able to squeeze this shoot in before some unpredictable rain, which I was thankful we got in since we went to the city the other day and forgot the memory card for our camera. It’s just been one of those weeks, haha! It’s not always “all together” over here, trust me. Let’s lift the mood shall we?

I have a funny story about this necklace I’m wearing! I was in Topshop and the girl who was checking my purchases out was wearing the most gorgeous vintage rose necklace (literally identical to the one I am wearing). I asked her where she found such a unique piece and she told me she got it while shopping in New York at a store called “Popular Jewelry” in Brooklyn, she described it as one of those stores you’d normally walk right by, but she was pleasantly surprised. While I travel to NYC often (it’s so close to Toronto), I wasn’t about to hop on a plane just for a necklace! So, I took my investigative skills (I can literally hunt down anything, even if it’s sold out) and tracked this baby down! Good old Etsy! Good “keywords” are the trick to hunting pieces down, and in just two weeks, I got my little slice of vintage. I get so inspired by street style and the every-girls who rock pieces their own way. It’s always been my biggest source of inspo and I think it’s why I love blogging and reading other blogs!

Hope you all have a great end to your week! XOXO
